Combat Medical Training

The Experience

This three part interactive training exercise was designed to teach US Army soldiers the basics of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) techniques.

Built for both AR and VR devices, the experience began with immersive classroom instruction, followed by guided interactive training, and finished with a live interactive test. Classroom instruction was delivered via both pre-recorded and live volumetric video from real instructors.

The Work

Leading Creative Production and Narrative Design for the combat medical training program involved deep consultation and coordination with Marine Corps TCCC trainers out of Camp Pendleton. Due to the life-and-death nature of their work, it was crucial to get the specifics of these interactions correct in the training experience.

We participated in on-the-ground training, capturing 3D footage of trainers that we integrated into the experience. We developed battlefield scenarios in consultation with experienced combat professionals. The end-result scored 80+ out of 100 in usability and efficacy of training.
