The Work
Creative Direction and Production for this experience focused on how to tell the story of the actual person Tutankhamun through a collection of artifacts that everyone is familiar with.
Through subject matter research and consultation with curators at the Grand Egyptian Museum, we uncovered a story of deception and palace intrigue that had direct relevance to the famous rediscovery of his tomb. To tell that story, we highlighted specific artifacts and tomb frescoes and even incorporated archival footage. The goal was to hook visitors with the mystery and then draw them in with a deeper understanding of the boy behind the artifacts.
